The 2004 Manuel Quintana Reserva Especial is made from 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha aged for 36 months in American oak. Dark ruby-colored, it reveals a slightly reticent bouquet of earth, mineral, cedar, leather, black cherry, and blackberry. On the palate notes of mocha and chocolate emerge along with a melange of black fruits. It has enough structure to evolve for 5-7 years and will drink well through 2024.
