Krug Champagne

French Champagne, Reims

About Krug French Champagne

The House of Krug was established in 1843 and has since specialised in producing only prestige and specialised champagnes. Krug is the only firm still producing all its champagne in small oak casks, an essential element for developing Krug's intense bouquet and complex flavours. Today, Henri, Rémi and Olivier Krug, who supervise every step of production, tasting and blending, represent the 5th and 6th generations. With long periods of maturation (6-8 years), Krug champagne continues to age gracefully after release, developing an intensely rich, nutty flavour whilst remaining remarkably fresh. Krug`s finest champagne is Clos du Mesnil, a 100%-Chardonnay based chamapgne that comes from a small walled vineyard at Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. It is one of the world`s greatest Blanc de Blancs.

Krug Champagne Grande Cuvée

Indisputably the most majestic non-vintage cuvée, this is blended from 10 different vintages and 47 wines from 25 villages. The palate is dominated by honey and nuts with graceful acidity and a long finish. Aged 5-7 years on the lees.

Krug Champagne Rosé

From a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, this refined rosé with equisitively clean summer fruit and exceptional length, is about as good as rosé gets.

Krug Champagne Clos du Mesnil

Luscious, decadently rich, creamy-complex fruit with phenomenal acid balance. If you have the money this is an absolute must.

Krug Champagne

Another sublime Krug with all the classic trademarks - rich, powerful, complex and profound. It is slightly firmer and less flamboyant than the 1989 and definitely built to last.
