La Crema Winery

California Wine, Sonoma County

About La Crema Vineyard and Winery

La Crema was founded in 1979 and quickly established itself as a pioneer for intensely flavored Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the cool Sonoma Coast. Continuing this tradition, La Crema pursues the ultimate expression of the Russian River Valley, Carneros and Anderson Valley by handcrafting wines of distinctive flavor which achieve elegance and balance. La Crema Winery is not open to the public for tours and tasting. We occasionally open the winery for events, and often pour our wines at tastings around the country. Please see our Event Calendar for details.

La Crema Winery 2000 Russian River Valley Chardonnay

Nectarine, apple, pineapple, and citrus meld into a wonderful combination of fruit, which is balanced by hazelnut, ginger and subtle butterscotch. Intense pear, nectarine, and passion fruit lead creamy layers into the finish.

La Crema Winery 2000 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Known for its elegant backbone, soft tannins and silky texture, the flavors are redolent of blackberry, ripe plum, cola and boysenberry. The wines are bright, yet rich, lush and complex, combining delicacy and finesse with intensity and concentration.

La Crema Winery 2001 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Rich apple, pear, and citrus aromas dominate the nose, with subtle butterscotch notes. The flavors follow suit with bright citrus, apple and white peach that remains on the palate. Sweet vanilla is balanced by good acidity that carries all the fruit and complexity into a lingering finish.

La Crema Winery 2000 Nine Barrel Chardonnay

Nectarine, spiced apple, pineapple and citrus aromas are balanced by hazelnut, ginger and a hint of toasty vanilla. Pear laced with high notes of key lime lead into creamy flavors throughout the finish. This wine exhibits a powerful purity of what the Russian River Valley is about.

La Crema Winery 2000 Nine Barrel Pinot Noir

Blackberry, black cherry and plum aromas marry with chocolate, anise and a hint of fresh mint. Intense fruit flavors of raspberry and blackberry layered with cocoa and a touch of clove. Rich tannins in the mid-palate and a long, sensuous finish. A wine well suited to drink today, and to lay down for a decade while it continues to develop complexity.
