Professional Wine Reviews for 1792 Bourbon Small Batch

Rated 94 by Ultimate Beverage Challenge
Sweet maple and caramel cream are pungent in the nose. In the mouth it is thoroughly imbued with nutmeg, coffee and hints of red fruits and tobacco leaf. The texture starts off smooth and rounded before the piquant finish. (Ultimate Beverage Challenge, 2015)
Rated 90 by Whisky Advocate
A high-rye bourbon with the same mashbill as 1792 Small Batch, this whiskey will be an annual limited release. The nose offers an inviting medley of chocolate-covered cherries, pound cake, buttered toast, blackberry, and licorice. The palate is mellow and honeyed, with notes of cedar, chocolate chip cookies, blackberry jam, coconut shavings, and cigar wrapper, all completed by a finish of brown sugar, chocolate, peanut shell, and cracked pepper.

Producer 1792

Country: United States

For three hundred years now, the United States has been leading the New World in wine production, both in regards to quantity and quality. Wine is actually produced in all fifty states across the country, with California leading the way by an enormous margin. Indeed, as much as eighty-nine percent of all wines to come out of the United States are produced in California, where the fertile soils and sloping mountain sides, coupled with the long, hot summers provide ideal conditions for producing high quality, European style red, white and rosé wines. With over a million acres of the country under vine, the United States sits comfortably as the fourth largest wine producer in the world, where imported grape varietals from all over the Old World are processed using a successful blend of traditional and contemporary techniques.
