The production of Bogle Vineyards wine is influenced by this family tradition as well as the ever-changing trends in the wine industry. Since 1992, Bogle winery has participated in the California Appellation Program. In this program, winemakers source fruit from some of the best vineyards in the state and blend them with Bogle's Estate Vineyards in Clarksburg, thus assuring that the wines benefit from many of the incredible grape growing regions of California. Each and every Bogle winery wine created is a unique and exciting blend with true varietal character and an approachable style. With their deep commitment to quality, the Bogle winery family wouldn't have it any other way.
With the release of Bogle's 2002 Sauvignon Blanc, the winery hope to inch a little closer to the start of spring! Classic in style, waves of citrus peel and lemongrass blossom on the nose. A blend of grapefruit, orange and tangerine fruit compliments the clean and crisp body. The lively, refreshing finish leaves impressions of a vibrant quencher on a warm day. Enjoy this dry white wine with fish shellfish and light, spicy foods.
Barrel fermentation, sur-lies aging, and partial malolactic fermentation have created a rich and elegant wine with layers of complexity. The inviting aroma suggests freshly slice pears and apples, while the delicately creamy entry gives way to reveal softer hints of baking spices like cloves and nutmeg. Topped with just a touch of butter, this integrated wine ends with a long, crisp finish that can be savored with every sip.
Bogle’s first Pinot Noir is a delicately elegant wine with a serious side…. Gorgeous ruby color appeals to the eye, while fragrances of strawberries, violets and sweet leather captivate the senses. Smoky overtones compliment the raspberry fruit once the first sip is taken. Forward oak emerges and creates subtle structure among the silky finish. Typical of both Russian River fruit and Bogle Vineyardsfinesse, this wine gracefully combines poise and substance.
In 2001, our Clarksburg vineyards produced fruit full of succulent ripeness and rich concentration. Amazing aromas of fresh, ripened cherries burst from this perfectly balanced Merlot. On the palate the full fruit leads beautifully into the complex finish: soft and silky, yet with firm tannins and spicy, vanilla oak. Enjoy this wine with a wide range of food: from pasta with a light sauce to hearty meat dishes, or of course, just by itself!
Cabernet Sauvignon is a grape that takes its own sweet time, slowly lingering to ripen on the vine. We are rewarded by its reluctance.Ripe, bright cherries open up on the palate, with a hint of dried herbs and eucalyptus nestled among the fruit. Fourteen months in American barrels produced a well-integrated profile of spicy oak and rich tobacco. Firm but forgiving tannins leave a most welcome finish after each sip.
The 2001 Old Vine Zinfandel comes from carefully selected vineyards that are dry-farmed and head-trained. These knarly old vines produce concentrated fruit of unsurpassed quality. This well-balanced wine begins with startlingly bright raspberry fruit on the nose and palate. Seasoned with a dash of peppercorn, the finish lingers with spicy oak supported by firm and focused tannins. This is the perfect wine to pair with everything from rich sauces and unique dishes, to your favorite weeknight take-out.
A new blend of black magic has been created by Bogle Vineyardswinemakers, enclosed in a mysterious new package. This blend of three varietals combines lush berry and fierce spice into a full-bodied wine. Concentrated and intense, this deep ruby apparition begins with blueberry and boysenberry fruit and a touch of soft oak, then ebbs into notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish, ripe and firm, slowly vanishes away. Welcome the winery ghost into your home again with this second vintage, and enjoy with full-flavored and hearty meals.
Amazingly inky, deep purple wine emerges from the bottle as you pour a glass of Bogle's flagship varietal. On the nose, powerful boysenberry and blackberry scents are reminiscent of last summer's offering. Trademark jammy notes fill the mouth with ripe fruit and berries. The voluptuous finish lingers with toasty, vanilla oak and lush fruit. The firm tannins make this a wine that can develop for years to come, but you won't want to wait that long to enjoy it! Try this unique wine with rich meat dishes of lamb, pork or game and their hearty sauces.
