The unoaked red 2018 El Casetero Garnacha was produced with grapes from 25-year-old vines on clay and limestone soils located at 550 meters in altitude. It fermented in concrete, where it was kept for 12 months. It's ripe and juicy but with more red than black fruit, a bit grapey, quite aromatic, because, as they don't crush the grapes, there is a semi-carbonic maceration. The palate has fine tannins and a clean, fruit-driven finish. 48,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2020.
