About J Vineyard Winery

At J Winery, our belief is that wine belongs on the table with food, that wines should enhance a meal. You won't find big, buttery or heavily extracted styles of wine at J Winery because those styles of wine tend to overwhelm the palate. Instead, we strive to produce elegant, well-balanced wines with finesse and complexity. So it follows that harmony and balance in winemaking calls for a parallel harmony and balance in accompanying food.

J Vineyards Pinot Noir Estate Bottled 2006

Aromas of bright red cherries radiate, followed by subtle notes of damp earth, mushrooms, liquorish and spices. A fat entry and broad mouthfeel engulf the palate with flavors of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, and a lingering finish of cola and oak. This striking Pinot Noir stands up beautifully with Lamb Shish Kebabs on your summer grill.

J Vineyards Pinot Gris 2007

Rated 90 - A rich sleek white with the gentleness of coastal rain. J's Pinot gris has simple flavors of the grape and nutty lees. It ends on a tart lemon note. - Wine & Spirits Magazine

J Vineyards Chardonnay 2006

J Vineyards Brut Rose

J Vineyards Brut 1999

Initial notes are a mixture of white fruits and citrus with delicate floral aromas (honeysuckle and orange blossom). Underlying these first notes are hints of toast and butterscotch, that are slightly more pronounced than previous vintages - due to the extended aging on the yeast. The broad palate is dominated by melon and apple - with a hint of honey. The finish is long and clean - ending with a delicate nuttiness.

J Vineyards Late Disgorged 1997

J Vineyards Cuvee 20 NV

J Vineyards Cuvee 20 NV Rated 90 - 49% Chardonnay; 49% Pinot Noir; 2% Pinot Meunier. There is a slight bias to citrus and chalk here that reminds a bit of good Blanc de Blancs, and, if still fairly young and spry at its heart, the wine shows a nice measure of yeastiness that speaks to time en tirage . Enlivened by a mouthful of fine bubbles and very clean and crisp at the end, this one will work equally well as a foil to mild seafood preparations and as a taste-bud-awakening overture to special meals. - Connoisseurs' Guide
