Rated 92 by Wine Enthusiast
Delicious but fiery, this nine-year-old small-batch Bourbon offers deep toffee aromatics and bold flavor. On the palate, look for relatively dry flavors: leather, cedar, dried orange peel. A splash of water softens the profile to bring out more vanilla, honey, even a touch of chocolate.

Candied cherries and oranges on the nose, along with a note of fresh blueberry and a blast of cinnamon. Smooth on the front palate, with flavors of cinnamon gum, cooked dark berries, old leather, and dunnage warehouse floor. Water brings out chocolate and vanilla, as well as dark fruits and white pepper. A lengthy finish offers savory herbs, bitter chocolate, fresh coffee beans, and roasted walnuts. Great texture and well-balanced throughout. - Fall 2020

Rated 91 by Ultimate Beverage Challenge
Very pretty and uplifting aromatics of orange peel and jasmine flowers, with hints of star anise and lemon oil. The palate is more serious with charred oak, vanilla bean, dried apple, and dates simmering in a fiery elixir that finishes on a roasted walnut note. - 2021 ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE
Winery
An unflinching balance of deep, old-style flavor with a natural oak sweetness. COLOR: Copper to medium amber. TASTE: Rich, sweet, woody, full-bodied, almost fruity.

Country: United States

Whilst there are several strains of native grape varietals in the United States, it was the introduction of the European species which prompted the country to begin producing wines on a large scale. Over the past few centuries, experimentation and cross-breeding has produced great successes in regards to the quality and suitability of the fruit grown in states such as California, Oregon, Washington and New York, and the past few decades have seen New World wines from the United States reach much higher standards. Arguably the finest United States wines have always come out of California, where the climate and terrroir is most suitable for fine wine production. The masterful blending of classic grape varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, amongst others including Syrah and Chardonnay, have had world beating results in recent years, prompting many to suggest that there has never been a better time for buying and drinking United States wines.
