Vivid notes of Red Delicious apples fill the nose with their fresh mellowness. The palate adds a salty, yeasty undertone that swings well with the inherent freshness and dryness. The foam is still lively but speaks of smoothness and yeast in all its creaminess. This is fresh and mellow at the same time, serious and frivolous. The finish is wonderfully dry.

Fred Loimer blends this wine from biodynamically farmed zweigelt, pinot noir and St. Laurent, fermented first in stainless-steel tanks, then a second time in bottle, where it rests for 18 months before disgorgement. It’s a supple, lively sparkler, with fresh, lemon-spritzed berry flavor.

Loimer Brut Rosé Reserve shows the red-fruit aromas typical of Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, and Sankt Laurent with notes of fresh strawberries and cherries accented by sweet herbs and flowers. The palate shows firm acidity while 18-months aging on the lees in the bottle provides weight and texture.

Varietal: Champagne Blend

Whilst Champagne sparkling wines are most commonly made with a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varietals, there are actually seven fine grape varietals allowed by French wine law for inclusion in the wines of this region. These include Arbanne, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and and Petit Meslier alongside the others, although these four are being used less and less in the modern age. Champagnes are normally blended wines, although the popularity of single variety 'blanc de blanc' Champagnes made solely with Chardonnay grapes, and 'blanc de noir' wines made only with Pinot Noir varietal grapes are becoming more and more popular. The blending process found in most Champagnes aims to take the finest points of each grape varietal and bring them together to produce spectacular, strong yet balanced results in the bottle.
