Disgorged after two years in August 2019, Loimer's citrus-colored NV Extra Brut Reserve offers an excitingly pure, clear, fresh and fine yet intense, complex and elegant bouquet with nutty-scented lemon aromas. Pure, linear and fresh on the palate, this is a pretty intense, dense and persistent sparkling wine with a bone-dry dosage of two grams per liter. Delicate mousse, serious finish. This edition is based on the 2016 harvest. Tasted in October 2019.

Notes of fresh and baked green and yellow apple stream from the nose. They also pervade the palate, where finest fizz bursts its myriad bubbles with purest pleasure. Creamy notes of short crust are finely woven and merge with a bright, lively lemon freshness. The low dosage grants that extra thrill of purity. Classy, delicious, moreish fizz with a superlong finish.

A very pleasant, dry sparkling wine with plenty of bread-dough, dried-citrus and apple character. It’s medium-to full-bodied and creamy-textured. Very dry finish. From organically grown grapes. Try it.

Loimer Sekt Extra Brut Reserve shows a bright and pure nose of ripe golden apple and grapefruit. On the palate, the wine’s creamy texture and vibrant acidity complement layers of tart red fruit and toasted brioche. A dense and persistent finish underscores the quality of the wine and hints at its ability to improve with time in the bottle.
