About Nicolas Feuillatte Winery

The Centre Vinicole - Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte (CV-CNF) is the oldest union of producers of champagne. It comprises 82 winemaking cooperatives representing more than 5000 vineyards, situated on a hill in the commune of Chouilly, on the road leading to Pierry, and overlooks the community of Épernay. Henri Macquart founded the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne in 1972 as a storage and vinification unit to serve winegrowers, federated around cooperative or individual wine presses, and it got its present name in 1986. The CV - CNF is the leading union of producers in Champagne, and Nicolas Feuillatte is one of the largest champagne brands with more than 9 million bottles sold in 2008.

Nicolas Feuillatte created his brand in 1976, after inheriting a vineyard near Reims, the Domaine de Bouleuse. Purchased in 1986 by the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne, the brand has continued to grow. Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte is an exception in a world where the leading brands have built their image and reputation on a history of more than a hundred years. Nicolas Feuillatte remains the brand’s ambassador in France and around the world.

Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne Brut NV

Aromas of citrus fruit, grilled almonds and toast move on to a medium-bodied, lively palate with fresh fruit flavours as well as yeasty notes from lees ageing.

Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne Cuvee Speciale 1999

Rated 90 - Chardonnay scents of white flowers and pale limestone last in this firm Champagne. The flavors have a blithe intensity, with depth and acidity to support them as they age. Cellar it for a few years, then serve with smoked sable. - Wine & Spirits

Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne Brut Rose

A solid value in rose Champagnes, this wine offers delicate toasty scents alongside hints of chocolate and caramel--the impression is one of understated elegance. Adds some apple and berry flavors on the palate, finishing with note of coffee. Score: 90. —Joe Czerwinski, December 01, 2004. Wine Enthusiast 90 points

Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne Brut Rose Cuvee Palmes D'or 1999

Rated 89 - This is round, with a fine mousse supporting the bread dough, hazelnut and malt flavors. Solid, though it doesn't quite show the length and intensity of the best 1999s. Drink now through 2010. Wine Spectator
