Siduri is named for the Babylonian Goddess of wine, who, in Babylonian mythology, held the wine of eternal life.
Siduri produces single vineyard Pinot Noir from 20 different vineyards stretching from Santa Barbara north to Oregon’s Willamette Valley. They have been fortunate enough to establish relationships with top tier growers/vineyards including: Pisoni, Van der Kamp and Clos Pepe . All of their Pinot Noir is produced unfiltered and unfined in an effort to maximize the expression of these very diverse sites. Siduri is unique in the breadth and depth of their single varietal focus.Siduri Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills 2007
Rated 90 - Intense and vibrant, with snappy blackberry, wild berry and black cherry fruit that's full-bodied, structured and pleasantly earthy, with mineral and sage. - Wine SpectatorSiduri Pinot Noir Sapphire Hill 2006
The 2006 Siduri Sapphire Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is only 13.4% alcohol. It shows a fine sense of balance, demonstrating fragrant cranberry and strawberry fruit, with slight hints of smoke and even a touch of pine needle. The finish is long and elegant with smooth tannins. Sapphire Hill Pinot Noirs have a tendency to take on more weight with the passage of time so, although this is plenty drinkable now, it should be even better with a couple of additional yeas in bottle.Siduri Pinot Noir Shaw Mountain 2006
