Professional Wine Reviews for W. L. Weller Bourbon 12 Year

Rated 94 by Beverage Tasting Institute
Deep amber copper color. Rich, attractive aromas of creme brulee, fruit pastries, brown spices, and cherry cola with a satiny, lively, fruity medium-full body and a warming, very complex, very long Asian spices, honeyed shredded wheat, minerals, and pepper finish. A plush, flavor packed bourbon with great fruitiness and smoothness.
Rated 94 by Ultimate Beverage Challenge
Pale amber in the glass, the nose has sweet elements of candied apple, honeysuckle, and vanilla, but is undeniably dry and fiery on the palate. Very soft and with a heather-like floral quality, this is a pleasing sipper.

I want to say this is about my customer service it was great... I received my product before expected time. I reviewed the Better Business Bureau and even other reviews. Each review I read had a response from Saratoga Wine Exchange explaining the issue; I was impressed enough to order one of my bourbons I had to have. I will buy again the next time will be a Pappy Van Winkle :)

Producer W. L. Weller

Country: United States

Whilst there are several strains of native grape varietals in the United States, it was the introduction of the European species which prompted the country to begin producing wines on a large scale. Over the past few centuries, experimentation and cross-breeding has produced great successes in regards to the quality and suitability of the fruit grown in states such as California, Oregon, Washington and New York, and the past few decades have seen New World wines from the United States reach much higher standards. Arguably the finest United States wines have always come out of California, where the climate and terrroir is most suitable for fine wine production. The masterful blending of classic grape varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, amongst others including Syrah and Chardonnay, have had world beating results in recent years, prompting many to suggest that there has never been a better time for buying and drinking United States wines.
