A BLEND OF VINTAGES 50-150 YEARS OLD 1868 - 1897 - 1939 - 1946 - 1952 - 1963 - 1967 - 1970 FINISHED IN ISLAY CASKS AT 87.2 PROOF WINNER OF THE MASTER MEDAL IN THE 2020 GLOBAL SPIRITS MASTERS LUXURY CATEGORY "All our stocks come from Chateau Bhakta, created following Raj's 2019 purchase of the esteemed Maison Ryst-Dupeyron and all their Armagnac holdings. Blending is done at the Chateau by our multi-generational master blenders. The finishing barrels for BHAKTA 50 are traditional French Oak casks conditioned with Islay whisky. This allows the boldness of Scotch to collide with the floral richness of the Armagnac, providing added layers of complexity and an unmistakeable identity." Theobald of Navarre was at once a master diplomat, lutist, and grandfather to Champagne wine. After kindling the Baron’s Crusade on the Pope’s whim, he sang his way to Damascus and breezed through negotiations. He also selected Chardonnay grapes to bring home to France for the first time. These grapes have fed French wine & brandy traditions for generations since… ONLY 370 BOTTLES RELEASED TO MARKET BHAKTA 50 boasts a completely unique profile. Nose of juicy blood orange, overripened on the grass from the sun's beating rays. Rich palate of hazelnut, vanilla, treacle, and candied prune. A festive cake of fruit and nuts, with a touch of holiday spice. Persistent finish of peat and cinnamon.

It is widely understood and accepted that the finest wines in the world come out of France. Whether you are drinking a vintage bottle from one of the famed Grand Cru wineries of Bordeaux - such as Chateau Margaux or Chateau Lafite-Rothschild - or a more simple and affordable bottle from one of the lesser known appellations in Burgundy, the likelihood is that the wine is packed full of intense and interesting flavors, and has a fine, balanced structure typical of almost all French produce. This reputation for excellence is taken extremely serious by the French, with dozens of regularly updated laws and regulations ensuring the quality and accurate labeling of wines. Such dedication and passion for fine wine, representative of the region in which it is produced, means customers can be assured that when they buy a bottle from France, they are buying something almost certain to please and delight.
