Smells of sweet corn, buttered popcorn and pistachio nuts in the early stages; later whiffs pick up well-endowed scents of sautéed butter, oaky vanilla, beeswax and linseed oil. Palate entry is full-bodied, sweet and honeyed; at midpalate the taste profile turns drier, more intensely grainy-mashy and breakfast cereal-like. Finishes with notes of nougat, almonds, candy bar, and oak. Best Buy. ... More details

Deep amber in the glass. Subtle notes of rye grains peak elegantly through the barrel on the nose; green pear, a suggestion of mustard seed, and wildflower honey. On the palate, pumpernickel with orange marmalade. (Great Value) - 2022 ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE

Clear golden amber color. Baked aromas and flavors of orange peel, vanilla, and toffee, key lime pie, toasted coconut and dates, and coffee cake with a supple, flat, dry light-to-medium body and a peppery, delightful, medium-length finish that shows shades of cherry pie, red apple, mulling spices, and caramel and chocolate syrup drizzled on coffee cake. Rye spice and everything nice, all while maintaining some sweeter notes.
Winery
COLOR: Shades of gold to light amber. TASTE: Bold rye spiciness with undertones of vanilla and oak. AROMA: Expansive notes of herbs and rye with nuances of oak.

Country: United States

Whilst there are several strains of native grape varietals in the United States, it was the introduction of the European species which prompted the country to begin producing wines on a large scale. Over the past few centuries, experimentation and cross-breeding has produced great successes in regards to the quality and suitability of the fruit grown in states such as California, Oregon, Washington and New York, and the past few decades have seen New World wines from the United States reach much higher standards. Arguably the finest United States wines have always come out of California, where the climate and terrroir is most suitable for fine wine production. The masterful blending of classic grape varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, amongst others including Syrah and Chardonnay, have had world beating results in recent years, prompting many to suggest that there has never been a better time for buying and drinking United States wines.
