Carr Vineyards and Winery is a small winery located in down town Santa Barbarba. All wines produced at Carr Winery are sourced from Santa Barbara County Vineyard and grown by Ryan Carr. This region has been recognized for producing some of the finest Pinot Noirs in the world.
Ryan Carr is the owner, winemaker and grower for Carr Vineyards and Winery. He began working in the fields with a local vineyard management company. After learning the process necessary to make wine, Ryan produced his first vintage in 1999. After making such great wine, Ryan and his friend Andy Kahn began a vineyard development company.
2003 Syrah Tierra Alta Vineyard
The wine aged 20 months in French Oak barrels, making it a full bodied red with aromas of melted chocolate and hot caramel.
2003 Cabernet Franc Santa Ynez Valley
This wine has an aroma of fresh roasted coffee and a soft smooth mouthfeel that has a hint of pepper on the finish.
2004 Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard
This wine is complex with aromas of cherry, chocolate and oak spice.
2004 Pinot Noir Ashley's Vineyard
This wine has a dark cherry color with an earthy aroma that is followed by a crisp round mouthfeel and a soft, delicate finish.
2004 Pinot Noir Turner Vineyard
2004 was the first harvest for this vineyard. This young vineyard produced a delicate wine that is soft and smooth with hardy aromas.
2005 Pinot Gris Turner Vineyard
Flavors of crisp green apples, tropical fruit and spiced tea.
