Zorzal Vineyards & Winery

Zorzal Wines, established in 2008, emerged with the mission of introducing the Gualtallary wine region in Valle de Uco, Mendoza, to the global stage. Situated at the heart of Gualtallary, enveloped by 70 hectares of vineyards and countryside, the winery boasts cutting-edge technology in pressing, fermentation, aging, and storage.

The production of terroir wines, capturing the essence of Gualtallary and accentuating its terroir in the expression of their wines, is at the core of their philosophy. To achieve this, the winery was meticulously designed across four levels, facilitating the transportation of grapes and wines by gravity and minimizing the use of pumps.

Incorporating state-of-the-art technology, the winery features a New Zealand automatic temperature control system that can be operated remotely from anywhere in the world.

With a dedication to crafting natural wines of the highest quality, the winery constantly innovates in minimal intervention oenology. Techniques such as roll fermentors, cement eggs, amphorae, distinct harvest times, and micro-vinifications in oak barrels are employed to reflect the maximum expression of the terroir.

For aging, a variety of vessels are utilized, including 225 and 500-liter French oak barrels, as well as 2,000-liter foudres, aiming to produce refined and elegant wine specimens. Cement eggs are also employed to impart purity, nerve, intensity, power, electricity, and life to the wines.
