Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The 2015 Lynch Moussas is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot cropped at 44 hl/ha between 17 September and 1 October. It has a very controlled bouquet at first with tightly wound raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, the oak nicely integrated and some lovely undergrowth aromas surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, the acidity well judged, leading to a spice-tinged finish that lingers long in the mouth. It is a very fine follow-up to the 2014 last year, with a freshness and class that I did not find conveyed ten years ago.
There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Here, in the home of the world's finest wines, the type and quality of grapes used is of utmost importance, and the legendary wineries which work on the banks of the Gironde river have mastered the careful art of juice blending to find the perfect balance for their produce. This is a vastly improved estate, making impressively good wines in recent vintages. The wine is structured and tannic but also packed with black-currant fruits, good acidity and spice. It will take time to develop, so drink from 2025 at the earliest.

The oak steps into the frame here with greater effect, leading the nose with creamed baking spices ahead of ripe cassis and red plums. Another Pauillac that showed beautifully (this appellation can be variable in 2015) was the 2015 Château Lynch-Moussas. A blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot, it offers a terrific bouquet of blackcurrants, toasty oak, lead pencil, and espresso. This medium to full-bodied, ripe, sexy, yet also fresh, Pauillac has loads of charm and texture as well as a forward, fruit-loaded style that’s going to drink nicely for 10-15 years.

Fresher and juicier than some Pauillacs, there is integrity and structure to the fruit, but also a sense of fun and enjoyment. Sometimes tasting young Médocs you feel the producers are trying so hard that they have forgotten that wine is supposed to be fun, whereas with this the balance is pretty much right up there, full of pleasure with fine tannins. This continues a run of successful vintages for Lynch-Moussas. It's not the most long-living Pauillac, but is one to watch right now.

This is slightly taut, defined by ample cedar and sandalwood notes that have the upper hand on the more modest red currant and damson plum flavors. Shows a sanguine edge through the finish, which has good length. For fans of the old-school style. Best from 2020 through 2029. 15,000 cases made.
