93-95 I continue to love the wines from this estate. The 2020 Château Pauillac is a seriously good wine, offering textbook notes of blackcurrants, graphite, crushed stone, and lead pencil. Emerging from the same house as Château Fonbadet, it’s a denser, straighter, more structured wine, with medium to full-bodied richness, notable tannins, and the freshness as well as purity that are the hallmarks of the 2020 vintage in the northern Médoc.

90-92 The 2020 Château Pauillac has a clean, precise, floral nose that you might mistake for a Margaux. Hints of tinned orange slices emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit, good salinity, gentle grip and a slightly chalky finish. This is a correct, quite linear Pauillac that is honed in a classic style and will deserve 2–3 years in bottle.
