Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The result is a bit closed initially, but with time the fruit begins to take shape – ripe pear, beeswax, mineral and marzipan. The texture is very subtle and elegant, retaining a surprising level of acidity that leads it to a lovely, lingering finish. Produced from a domaine-owned parcel of 0.16ha, the fruit is lightly crushed and pressed in a vertical press, prior to fermenting in cask (25% new) and ageing for 14 months.
Of all the white wine grape varietals, surely the one that has spread the furthest and is most widely appreciated is Chardonnay. This green-skinned grape is now grown all over the Old and New Worlds, from New Zealand to the Americas, from England to Chile, and is one of the first varietals people think of when considering white wine grapes. Perhaps this is because of its huge popularity, which reached a peak in the 1990s, thanks to new technologies combining with traditional methods to bring the very best features out of the Chardonnay grape and allow its unique qualities to shine through. Most fine Chardonnay wines use a process known as malolactic fermentation, wherein the malic acids in the grape juice are converted to lactic acids, allowing a creamier, buttery nature to come forward in the wine. No grape varietal is better suited to this process than Chardonnay, which manages to balance these silky, creamy notes with fresh white fruit flavors beautifully.

The beautifully and unforgettable French region of Cote De Beaune has been revered throughout the centuries, and recognized as one of the key producer's of the world's finest white wines. The region is highly respected as an excellent producer of Chardonnay wines, and the Chardonnay grapes which grow there, on the southern slopes of the Cote d'Or, are packed full of the unique and powerful characteristics of this very special terroir. Interestingly, Cote De Beaune produces more red wine than white wine, despite its white wines being so famous. The 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières has turned out nicely, mingling scents of honeyed pears, mandarin orange, paraffin wax, smoke and toasted nuts in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled, it's bright and chalky, with a long, penetrating finish.

A beautifully complex, naturally exotic and broad-ranging nose is comprised by notes of Orange pekoe tea, spice Granny Smith apples and a plethora of floral nuances. The beautifully precise mineral-driven flavors also possess really lovely underlying tension before concluding in a bitter lemon inflected and youthfully austere finale. This chiseled effort should also easily reward a decade or more of cellaring.

89-91 The 2019 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has quite a strong struck match element on the nose, though it seems to dissipate with continued aeration. The palate is well balanced, though I do find the reduction impeding onto the fruit profile so that it articulates more the winemaking technique than the terroir. There's a good Meursault here, but it is occluded by the winemaking practices at the moment.

Nose: Delicate – white blossom – acacia – honeysuckle – mandarine peel - Spices – white pepper - pure.
Palate: Powerful - dense – very well-balanced. Full of energy – good minerality. Fine salinity - elegant.
