All Merlot, the 2009 Château Croix De Labrie is fully mature, with a perfumed, incredibly complex bouquet of red currants, green tobacco, white truffle, dried flowers, and leather. Possessing medium to full-bodied richness, it has a wonderful sense of elegance yet still brings beautiful fruit, opulence, and length on the palate. I don’t see much upside, yet it still has seamless tannins and beautiful balance, all pointing to another solid decade of prime drinking.
