The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.

The 2020 Bianco Leukò is a golden peach color in the glass. The delicate bouquet shows dried apricots with hints of grapefruit rind, dusty yellow flowers and raw almond. Its textures are weighty, almost-glycerol-like in feel; yet balance is maintained through mineral-tinged acids, sour citrus and tart orchard fruits. This leaves the palate dry yet coated in a residual display of all the fruits and florals found within, along with a nuance of honeyed apples and spice that lingers long. What a fun wine. The Leukò is a blend of 70% Greco Bianco and 30% Gaglioppo that co-ferments spontaneously and then spends nine months refining on the lees.
Italian white blend wines exemplify the country's rich winemaking heritage, offering a diverse range of styles and flavors. What makes these blends unique is the meticulous interplay of indigenous grape varieties, each contributing distinctive characteristics to the final composition. Grapes like Trebbiano, Garganega, Vermentino, and Malvasia often feature in these blends, creating a harmonious fusion of floral, citrus, and tropical fruit notes.
The versatility of Italian white blends is underscored by their regional diversity, from the crisp and mineral-driven whites of Friuli-Venezia Giulia to the fuller-bodied expressions of Sicily. These wines frequently exhibit a balance between acidity and texture, making them suitable for various occasions and culinary pairings.

Country
Italy
There are few countries in the world with a viticultural history as long or as illustrious as that claimed by Italy. Grapes were first being grown and cultivated on Italian soil several thousand years ago by the Greeks and the Pheonicians, who named Italy 'Oenotria' – the land of wines – so impressed were they with the climate and the suitability of the soil for wine production. Of course, it was the rise of the Roman Empire which had the most lasting influence on wine production in Italy, and their influence can still be felt today, as much of the riches of the empire came about through their enthusiasm for producing wines and exporting it to neighbouring countries. Since those times, a vast amount of Italian land has remained primarily for vine cultivation, and thousands of wineries can be found throughout the entire length and breadth of this beautiful country, drenched in Mediterranean sunshine and benefiting from the excellent fertile soils found there. Italy remains very much a 'land of wines', and one could not imagine this country, its landscape and culture, without it.

Winery Notes
From the vineyard Frassà, at only 10m above sea level. A blend of Greco Bianco and Gaglioppo. The Greco Bianco is macerated for a few hours and the Gaglioppo is vinified white after direct pressing. The co-fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel and aging lasts 8 months in tank on the lees. The wine is lightly filtered and lightly sulfured before bottling.
