Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Alsace has to be one of the most fascinating regions of France, with a history which stretches back millennia, and demonstrates perfectly the kind of blended culture that can arise from being located on the border between two enormously important, yet very different countries. Indeed, being on the border between France and Germany has resulted in Alsatian wines being something of a mix between the wines of these two countries. Riesling varietal grapes are grown in enormous quantities here, and display all of their crisp, dry complexity perfectly in the famous wines of Alsace. Alongside this typically Germanic wine, Alsatian vintners also produce plenty of Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, Muscat and Sauvignon Vert wines, all of which are superb when it comes to expressing the finer features of the wonderful Alsatian terroir.

A firm, bone-dry version, with a subtle mix of crunchy white peach, acacia blossom, Meyer lemon zest and petrol. This is tightly knit now, but the balance and focus suggest it should open with short-term cellaring. Best from 2019 through 2024. 300 cases imported.

Pale yellow. Aromas of apple, tangerine and minerals, plus nuances of lemon verbena and gin. Juicy and penetrating, with strong acidity framing the intense lemon, mineral and minty herb flavors. Finishes crisp and persistent. This is much more concentrated and closed than the 2014 entry-level Riesling. Pierre and Jean Trimbach told me that the 2014 Réserve is not likely to be sold before the beginning of 2017, as they are still selling the 2012 vintage.
Winery Notes
Pale, bright straw yellow with aromas of lemon peel, honeyed fruit and menthol on the nose. Ripe, supple and rich, yet lean and precise with excellent mineral character. This elegant Riesling, dry and precise, is a worthy accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes especially shellfish and white meats.
