Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Here, in the home of the world's finest wines, the type and quality of grapes used is of utmost importance, and the legendary wineries which work on the banks of the Gironde river have mastered the careful art of juice blending to find the perfect balance for their produce. Whilst there are six 'official' Bordeaux grapes, the two key varietals for almost every fine Bordeaux wine are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and with good reason. The Margaux appellation of France's legendary Bordeaux wine region is one of the world's most famous and highly respected viticultural areas. Deep aromatics of blackcurrant, chocolate and tobacco. Supple and lively. Lovely layering of fleshy fruit, grippy and chalky tannins and soft spice - liquorice, clove, crushed stones, cedar and vanilla. Something very alluring about this. Massy in texture, yet the fruit and acidity flavours expand vertically creating an expansive mouthfeel with lots of elegance, lift and openness. Will be easy to enjoy with undercurrants of power and thrust after the tannins have softened and melted into the frame a bit more.

Based on 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, the 2022 Château Marquis De Terme is brilliant stuff, with a richly textured, concentrated, medium to full-bodied style. Ripe darker currants, scorched earth, graphite, and lead pencil nuances all define the aromatics, and it's balanced, with a pure, layered mouthfeel and ripe tannins. It ranks with the finest vintages of this cuvée to date. Give bottles 3-5 years and enjoy over the following two decades or more.

89-91 The 2022 Marquis de Terme was tasted twice with two differing impressions. The first has a rich and quite opulent nose, a bit hazy due to the alcohol, with black cherries, cassis and just a touch of eau-de-vie. A second bottle demonstrates much more clarity. The palate is medium-bodied with thick but dry tannins, a bit austere and I am seeking more fruit to balance out the finish.The second sample provided that, although it still feels a bit "solid" and missing a bit of grace. I hope to see an uptick in quality come bottling. NB This will be bottled under Diam.

The 2022 from Marquis de Terme is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. It has a rather sweet and toasted nose, with a little fuzzy edge to the delineation, a touch soft focus. The palate follows on in the same vein, with a polished, rather open and powdery structure running through the middle of the palate, with plenty of dark and juicy fruit. The finish is all dark fruit and powdery grip, the tannins coming out to show their potential from the midpalate onwards, with a minty freshness. It has a tight structure and just a medium-bodied presence, but if we all cross our fingers perhaps this will come good with time. Tasted twice. The alcohol on the label is 13%.
Perfumed and polished aromas of stewed blackcurrants, cherries, cloves, dark chocolate, lavender and musk. It’s full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins.…
