Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The 2022 Le Prieuré is a classy wine with undeniable finesse. There is a bit more mid-palate richness than is the norm here. Dark cherry, mocha, new leather and licorice build in the glass. As always, Le Prieuré is one of the more elegant, mid-weight wines from Saint-Émilion. Beams of tannin and brisk acids lift the finish.
With its dark blue colored fruits and high juice content, Merlot varietal grapes have long been a favorite of wine producers around the globe, with it being found in vineyards across Europe, the Americas and elsewhere in the New World. One of the distinguishing features of Merlot grapes is the fact that they have a relatively low tannin content and an exceptionally soft and fleshy character, meaning they are capable of producing incredibly rounded and mellow wines. This property is now managed by the same team as Calon-Ségur, since its acquisition by Suravenir. There have been significant changes here, not least a vineyard expansion from 6 to 11.6 hectares. The blend is 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, and the élevage was 18 months using 30% new oak. The aromatics are dark and complex, smoky and savoury, with desiccated blackberry, black plum, smoke, tobacco and soot, with a similarly dark and brooding character on the palate matched by a fine backbone of powdery and well-integrated tannins as well as fresh acidity. Lots of savoury and saline character here, leading to a dark and toasted finish. This has super potential. The alcohol on the label is 14.5%.
