Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Here, in the home of the world's finest wines, the type and quality of grapes used is of utmost importance, and the legendary wineries which work on the banks of the Gironde river have mastered the careful art of juice blending to find the perfect balance for their produce. Whilst there are six 'official' Bordeaux grapes, the two key varietals for almost every fine Bordeaux wine are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and with good reason. Whilst Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are renowned for their acidity and astringency, strong fruit and spice flavors and full body, Merlot grapes are notably rounded, soft, fleshy and lighter on tannin. The Margaux appellation of France's legendary Bordeaux wine region is one of the world's most famous and highly respected viticultural areas. For centuries, Margaux has been deeply associated with extremely fine wines of the highest quality, made using traditional and time-honored techniques in order to extract the very best, most refined and elegant flavors and aromas from the Bordeaux varietal grapes which grow there. Margaux wines are almost always blended, using two or three key Bordeaux grapes, commonly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc (amongst others). Heady aromatics, deep perfumed black fruits with dark chocolate and violet nuances. Rich and creamy in terms of concentrated fruit but with a lively undercurrent of acidity. The tannins are the overall frame are still at the fore, quite upfront and filling, which makes this quite potent right now, but it stays the right side of too much and gives an enjoyable amount of plushness. Excellent clarity and integration of oak. Ends clean and mineral. Wait a few years to enjoy but this will be a crowd pleaser.

Redcurrants, cassis, spicy oak, and floral notes are just some of the nuances in the 2022 Château Dauzac, a pure, medium to full-bodied Margaux that has terrific overall balance, nicely integrated tannins, and a great finish. It’s beautifully done and just another brilliant Margaux in the vintage that has so much to love.

The 2022 Dauzac is bolder on the nose compared to the Boyd-Cantenac, with blackberry and bilberry fruit, more prominent in terms of oak although that will be assimilated with bottle age. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit and a dash of soy on the mid-palate. Good depth towards the primal finish, this bodes well for the future. The Wine Independent
The 2022 from Dauzac is a straightforward blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot. There is a rather sweet, smoky and toasted character to the nose, with a little reductive trait to it as well at the moment, and a rich wrapping of scented oak around the rather tense and crystalline fruit. The palate is dark and sweetly textured, with rich layers of toast, liquorice, black olive and tar, all set in a charming, lightly polished and seamless substance, and accompanied by a delicate acidity. This sweet and ripe tannic grip persists into the finish and serves to remind us that there is some cellaring potential here. Tasted twice. The alcohol on the label is 14%.
