There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. A terrific Pomerol, the 2020 Château De Valois has a deep ruby/plum hue and offers a classy nose of red and black fruits, leafy herbs, truffly earth, tobacco, and iron. It's grippy and medium-bodied on the palate, with focused precision, a nicely textured mouthfeel, solid tannins, and outstanding length. This nuanced effort is in the early stages of its prime drinking window and has another decade of life ahead. Drink 2025-2035.
