Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

94-97 Bright dark red. Raspberry and a touch of reduction on the nose. Then dense, sappy and high-pitched in the mouth, with terrific intensity and saline complexity to the intense red berry flavors. Notes of menthol and crushed stone contribute to an impression of youthful tightness. Harder to taste today than the classic Clos de Bèze, which is showing more energy and salty minerality in the early going. But this is subtler and longer on the aftertaste, with a distinctly floral, feminine character that reminded me of a great Chambolle-Musigny. Very different in style from Faiveley’s “basic” Clos de Bèze, but is it better?

Burghound
Here the wood and menthol influences are a good deal less subtle and while they don't dominate the even spicier and slightly riper liqueur-like cassis, plum and herbal tea aromas, they're certainly in the way. Otherwise the succulent and opulent massively-scaled flavors possess seemingly endless reserves of dry extract that make the mid-palate and finish of this very firmly structured and almost painfully intense effort appear almost pliant. But make no mistake as this too is very clearly built for the very long haul and I wouldn't touch a bottle for at least 15 years and 20 may ultimately prove to be too soon.

Surprisingly floral on the nose, with delicate and charming raspberry fruit. Lean, precise and very fresh, this is less hefty than the regular Clos de Beze and has more finesse and delicacy. Exeptionally stylish for this site. Drinking Window 2020 - 2035.
Winery Notes
Deep ruby red hue with purplish glimmers. The complex nose offers a combination of fruit, spice and floral notes. The lively palate displays exceptional tension, elegant tannins, a hint of white pepper and menthol notes. Les Ouvrées Rodin is an intense, deep, smooth, elegant and subtle wine and a perfect reflection the character of its historical terroir.
Serve with: Foie gras and pear filo pastries, coq au vin, fillet of beef, truffle risotto.
