An alluring red, with red tea– and anise-infused flavors of cassis and black cherry compote that move along steadily, flanked by lightly singed apple wood and sweet tobacco along the way. The fine-grained structure makes this sneakily long. Nicely done. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2035. 2,500 cases made.
