Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

It is also used in still wines that showcase its aromatic qualities and vibrant acidity. Xarel-lo wines typically exhibit flavors of green apple, citrus fruits like lemon and grapefruit, along with subtle floral notes and a mineral edge. They are medium-bodied with crisp acidity, making them refreshing and well-suited for pairing with seafood, salads, and light dishes. What makes Xarel-lo unique is its contribution to the complexity and structure of Cava, where it blends harmoniously with Macabeo and Parellada to create sparkling wines known for their fine bubbles and delicate aromas. The grape's ability to retain acidity even in warm climates ensures the freshness and longevity of both still and sparkling wines, highlighting its importance in the Catalan winemaking tradition.

The beautiful Spanish wine region of Catalunya has a history of viticulture which stretches back for over a thousand years, and has been influenced by a wide range of people who moved through the region, and brought their wine making skills and expertise with them. The region itself is a sizeable one, covering an area of sixty thousand hectares, and within this space there resides over two hundred individual wineries, ranging from small, independent and traditional ones to the larger, mass production bodegas known around the world. The terroir of Catalunya is varied, and ranges from being dry and arid, to more lush and green in the wetter parts of the region which are closer to the coast. This variation in terroir results in a fantastic range of grape varietals being grown, and a wide range of wine styles are produced within Catalunya.

The very young and primary Xarel.lo 2023 CastellRoig So Blanc has low alcohol (11.5%), a low pH (3) and high acidity (7.9 grams) and is spicy and floral, with notes of aniseed, fennel and white fruit, fresh, mineral and salty. It comes from three different soils and fermented in stainless steel, where it was kept with the lees for seven months. 21,608 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2024.
