There is evident secondary development to the ripe nose of beautifully layered dark berry fruit and plum where additional breadth is present in the form of dried flowers, old leather and earth accents. The seductively textured, even suave, intense and relatively full-bodied, though not especially dense, flavors that display good length on the balanced and sneaky long finish. This well-made effort has arrived at an inflection point where there are still noticeable supporting tannins but it’s not clear that there is much development potential remaining. As such, this could be enjoyed now or successfully held for a few more years.
