The 2019 vintage, for example, has increased in value by 33.3% since en primeur two years ago. 2016 has appreciated by 34.3% over the last five years, and 2015 by 21.9%. You see the trend. Along with Petrus, Lafite Rothschild is the cornerstone of any wine collection with the purpose of wine investment. I might also add that the wine is magnificent. While intended to age for decades, if not a century, younger bottlings can be approachable if given time to breathe.
