The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.

Vietti vineyard landscape

Vietti

Vietti logo

Nestled amidst the picturesque Langhe hills, atop Castiglione Falletto village, lies the renowned Vietti wine cellar, steeped in history since its establishment in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti. Over time, the estate has expanded, boasting vineyard holdings in some of the most coveted terroirs of Barolo and Barbaresco.

Vietti bottles

A pivotal moment in Vietti’s journey occurred in the late 1950s when Luciana Vietti married Alfredo Currado, a visionary winemaker and art enthusiast. Alfredo’s pioneering spirit led to landmark innovations, from crafting one of the first Barolo crus in 1961 (Rocche di Castiglione) to championing single-varietal vinification of Arneis in 1967 and introducing Artist Labels in 1974. His legacy of intellect, professionalism, and forward-thinking was carried forward by Mario Cordero, his son-in-law, and subsequently by Luca Currado Vietti and his wife Elena Penna in the early 1990s. Their commitment to quality, experimentation, and international expansion propelled Vietti to its status as one of Italy’s premier wine labels.

In 2016, the Krause family’s acquisition of Vietti heralded a new chapter, enriching the estate’s portfolio with prized Barolo and Barbaresco crus. Expansion continued with the purchase of vineyards in the Colli Tortonesi area for Timorasso production, commencing with the 2019 vintage.

True to its heritage, Vietti upholds the founding values instilled by Carlo Vietti: a relentless pursuit of quality and thoughtful experimentation. With an eye toward the future, Vietti embraces promising prospects, each wine bearing the hallmark of artisanal craftsmanship, profound terroir understanding, and unwavering vision—a testament to the enduring legacy where hands’ intelligence meets visionary foresight.
