The very pale pink 2024 El Descontrol is an unusual clarete, produced with a mixture of red and white grapes, less than 5% Tintilla de Rota and the majority Moscatel del Alejandría. It macerated for five hours and was then pressed and fermented in stainless steel, where it was kept for nine months. It could almost be a blanc de noirs. It has a subtle and elegant nose with notes of rose petals and a Moscatel twist (orange blossom?), but it’s quite subtle; it seems like Tintilla calms the varietal aromas of the Moscatel. Like all the wines here, it has contained ripeness and alcohol (11%) and a pH of 3.3, denoting freshness, and it has a light to medium-bodied palate and a long, tasty and salty finish. 660 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2025.
