Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Clos de la Faille Monopole is from vines planted in 1998 next to a geological faultline at 280m altitude on a mix of Triassic sandstone and limestone topped with iron-rich tertiary conglomerates. The wine was harvested in two tries, the lower part first, then the upper part. It spent 18 months in 15% new oak. The nose is of ripe but tart cherry, with an immediate creaminess, and an aspect that veers between floral and stony. The palate is translucent, fresh, glossy and soft as silk satin. The tannins are superfine, fused, firm yet elastic. The palate reveals slight notions of dark chocolate and cocoa, and intense red fruit with much enticing freshness. The finish is totally mouth-watering. This shrugged off the heat of 2020, stands here with a matter-of-fact elegance that is most seductive. Subtle spice plays on the finish. Immense charm. The 2020 Pinot Noir Clos de la Faille offers a delicate yet intense and concentrated bouquet of dark cherries and cassis intertwined with redcurrant and raspberry notes. On the palate, this is another very elegant but also concentrated fruity and firmly structured Pinot Noir from the family's monopole. The 2019 is intense and powerful but also refined, finessed and made to age. 13.5% stated alcohol.
