Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Brick orange in the glass with mahogany and ruby flashes, it presents a developing nose of Bach flowers, dates, truffles, musk, saffron and glue with a mentholated air.
The layers keep on coming. Pure silk in the mouth, the active tannins tempered by the lively freshness. A treasure that was born with a mature style.
Chile has a long and rich wine history which dates back to the Spanish conquistadors of the 16th century, who were the first to discover that the wonderful climate and fertile soils of this South American country were ideal for vine cultivation. It has only been in the past forty or fifty years, however, that Chile as a modern wine producing nation has really had an impact on the rest of the world. Generally relatively cheap in price,Whilst being widely regarded as definitively 'New World' as a wine producing country, Chile has actually been cultivating grapevines for wine production for over five hundred years. The Iberian conquistadors first introduced vines to Chile with which to make sacramental wines, and although these were considerably different in everything from flavor, aroma and character to the wines we associate with Chile today, the country has a long and interesting heritage when it comes to this drink. Chilean wine production as we know it first arose in the country in the mid to late 19th century, when wealthy landowners and industrialists first began planting vineyards as a way of adopting some European class and style. They quickly discovered that the hot climate, sloping mountainsides and oceanic winds provided a perfect terroir for quality wines, and many of these original estates remain today in all their grandeur and beauty, still producing the wines which made the country famous.

Valle Central
Chile is a fascinating country when it comes to wines and viticulture, and by far the most internationally renowned wine region in the country is the Valle Central. This expansive valley is located close to the Chilean capital of Santiago, and stretches between the Maipo Valley and Maule Valley, a long, winding fault through the mountainous regions of the country which is now almost completely covered by vineyards producing wines of exquisite character. The region itself may well be associated with the 'New World' of wines, but in actual fact, vineyards have been cultivated around the Maipo valley since the 16th century, when settlers from Europe brought vines across the ocean with which to make sacramental wines. A wide range of grape varietals thrive in the hot climate of Valle Central, from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines the country is most famous for, to Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Carmenere.

This is still very beautiful, with sweet tobacco, currants, spices and hints of spearmint. It’s medium-bodied with medium, round tannins and fresh and bright acidity. Cool at the end. Dried tobacco, too. This is holding on wonderfully. 75% cabernet sauvignon, 19% carmenere and 6% cabernet franc. Drink or hold.

The partnership of Philippine de Rothschild of Mouton-Rothschild and Concho y Toro produced this exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine (there is also Merlot and Cabernet Franc in the blend), which takes its name from a character in The Marriage of Figaro. With wine making assistance from Mouton's team of experts, this estate has produced a saturated ruby/purple-colored wine with elegant, complex notes of cassis, pain grille, cedar, and tobacco. Soft, rich, and multidimensional, this full-bodied wine possesses exquisite complexity and a layered texture with no hard edges. Drinkable already, it promises to improve for 7-8 years, and last for 12 or more. This wine is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 1. This wine may appear expensive vis a vis the run of the mill juice coming out of Chile, but in today's marketplace, this effort is sensibly priced. Serious wine tasters should give it a try.

First vintage for the Concha Y Toro / Mouton Rothschild joint venture. Wisps of smoke and tar are evident, but this has held up extremely well and has beautiful depth of flavour. Some softening of colour as it ages, but the wine has retained rich fruit and attractive spicing. The oak just slightly dominates on the finish (aged in 100% new barrels). Drink over the next five years to fully appreciate it.
