An airy and elegant nose freely offers up its aromas of mostly mineral reduction, petrol and just sliced citrus. There is again good volume and solid punch to the markedly stony middle weight flavors that conclude in a beautifully textured, delicious and lemon-tinged finale. This is lovely and a wine worth checking out.

Of all the white wine grape varietals, surely the one that has spread the furthest and is most widely appreciated is Chardonnay. Following in the footsteps of Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin is establishing itself as an outlier to be taken seriously by aficionados of outstanding Chardonnays. The aroma is light and airy, with hints of pear and citrus fruit and a faint woodiness. Flavors that start out mildly complex and build to a great minerality and complexity in the end. Possible lifespan, five to seven years. Taste at around 10-12 degrees Celsius. Pairing wine with fish, poultry, and seafood.
