Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The workmanship behind this wine is precise and technique-based, and of course it’s reliant on the best fruit produced in these manicured vineyards. The results show a full-bodied style that is given momentum by ample fruit weight and a 15.5% alcohol content. Blackberry, cherry liqueur and baking chocolate segue to sweet oak and spicey mahogany. This is a production of 15,000 bottles.
Listán Blanco, also known as Palomino Fino, is a white grape variety predominantly grown in Spain’s Canary Islands and in the Andalusian region for the production of Sherry. In the Canary Islands, it thrives in the unique volcanic soils and produces wines that are light, fresh, and aromatic. Listán Blanco wines are characterized by their subtle floral notes, citrus fruit flavors, and a distinctive minerality, often with a slight saline edge due to the maritime influence. The volcanic terroir imparts a unique complexity and texture to the wines, making them stand out. What makes Listán Blanco unique is its adaptability and the way it expresses the distinct terroirs of its growing regions. While it is primarily known for its role in Sherry production, where it contributes to the dry, nutty profiles of Fino and Manzanilla styles, as a table wine, Listán Blanco offers a refreshing and intriguing drinking experience.

There are few countries in the world with a viticultural history as long or as illustrious as that claimed by Italy. Grapes were first being grown and cultivated on Italian soil several thousand years ago by the Greeks and the Pheonicians, who named Italy 'Oenotria' – the land of wines – so impressed were they with the climate and the suitability of the soil for wine production. Of course, it was the rise of the Roman Empire which had the most lasting influence on wine production in Italy, and their influence can still be felt today, as much of the riches of the empire came about through their enthusiasm for producing wines and exporting it to neighbouring countries. Since those times, a vast amount of Italian land has remained primarily for vine cultivation, and thousands of wineries can be found throughout the entire length and breadth of this beautiful country, drenched in Mediterranean sunshine and benefiting from the excellent fertile soils found there. Italy remains very much a 'land of wines', and one could not imagine this country, its landscape and culture, without it.

Umbria
Despite being one of Italy's smallest wine regions, the central Italian region of Umbria is a vitally important one, and home to many of the country's finest and most historic wines and wineries. The reputation of Umbrian wines may have suffered in the 1970s, along with the produce of much of the rest of the country, but the 1980s and 1990s saw significant efforts made by vintners when it came to improving their produce and overall image. By consulting international oenologists, the wineries of Umbria were able to update their traditional techniques, and produce considerably finer wines from their Sangiovese grapes, as well as from imported varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. Indeed, the barrel fermented white wines of Umbria, now made with a blend of Chardonnay and Grechetto varietal grapes, has gone on to be something of a flagship product for the region, and is regarded as one of the best and most characterful white wines in Italy.

An exotic and smoky mix of dusty dried flowers, allspice, sage and dried black cherries emerges from the hauntingly dark 2018 Montefalco Sagrantino 25
Anni. This is densely textural and weighty in feel, yet the balance is on point, as brisk acids maintain momentum, and a saturation of ripe red and black fruits permeate the palate. Balsam, mint, tobacco, dark chocolate and licorice can all be found through the long and utterly dramatic finale, as the 25 Anni finishes structured, yet more approachable than l've come to expect. Arnaldo Caprai did a great job in creating a highly successful wine in 2018; however, don't expect it to take the usual ten years (or more) that this bottling usually does to come around.

Sagrantino 25 Anni was born from the exciting research experience and from the special selection of Sagrantino grapes. Produced for the first time with the 1993 vintage to celebrate the company's 25 ° anniversary, it has since retained this name together with the character, power and elegance that distinguish it.
AROMA: Surprising complexity ranging from blackberry jam to rose, from nutmeg to pepper, from pine resin to mint, from clove to cocoa.
TASTE: Soft, persuasive, which never ends. The freshness is inviting, the tannin is elegant and composed.
