90-92 The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Village has a strict, petrichor/wet limestone-scented bouquet, focused but not powerful. The palate is well balanced with a sappy entry, fine depth for a Village Cru and beautifully-judged acidity. A dab of spice enlivens the finish. This is an excellent, citrus-driven Puligny.

Of all the white wine grape varietals, surely the one that has spread the furthest and is most widely appreciated is Chardonnay. 89-92 Firm reduction blocks an analysis of the nose today. By contrast, there is a really lovely sense of underlying tension to the dense and relatively powerful middleweight flavors that are succulent yet nicely detailed while retaining the innate refinement of a Puligny. This is an excellent villages that is well worth your consideration.
