Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Atamán vermouth, produced primarily using Manzanillas from the historic Angioletti and El Toro wineries that are located in Sanlúcar’s upper quarter. Inspired by the old Atamán reserves: quinquina wines and old Vermouths that have been stored in Bodegas Barbadillo for decades. Atamán is a brand of Vermouth that was registered by Bodegas Barbadillo in January 1943. We often find ourselves asking why it was that Manuel Barbadillo gave it this name. We don’t have an answer to this question, but what we do know is that this Caucasian gentleman, a general in the Cossack armies has re-emerged today, abounding with character and with wormwood, quassia, bitter orange, rosemary and elderberry aromas.
Vermouth is a fortified, aromatized wine infused with a blend of botanicals, herbs, and spices. It is made by taking a base wine, fortifying it with neutral spirits, and flavoring it with a variety of ingredients, including wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), which is legally required for vermouth, along with citrus peels, cloves, cinnamon, and chamomile.
Vermouth is traditionally categorized into two main styles: Dry (white) vermouth – Crisp, herbaceous, and often floral, commonly used in Martinis. Sweet (red) vermouth – Rich, slightly bitter, with caramelized and spiced notes, essential for cocktails like the Negroni and Manhattan.
Originating in Italy and France, vermouth is a key ingredient in mixology but is also enjoyed neat, over ice, or with soda as an aperitif. French vermouths are known for their dry, delicate character, while Italian vermouths tend to be richer and more herbal. Its complex balance of bitterness, sweetness, and aromatics makes vermouth a staple in both classic and modern cocktails.
