The purple skinned grapes of the Grenache varietal have quickly become one of the most widely planted red wine grapes in the world, flourishing in several countries which have the correct conditions in which they can grow to ripeness. The 2019 Phinca El Vedao is pure Garnacha from a lieu-dit ("paraje" in Spanish) that gives the wine its name, where they have two vineyards. It fermented in a 2,000-liter concrete vat and matured in 500-liter French oak barrels for 30 months. It has 14.5% alcohol, a low pH and notable acidity. It has a very balsamic nose with abundant sweet spices and aromatic herbs, exotic and aromatic. It has a medium to full-bodied palate, with polished tannins and very good balance. 2,340 bottles were filled in March 2023.
