The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. The first single malt from Bulleit is made with 100% malted barley (like Scotch) and is aged in new American oak (like bourbon). Not surprisingly, the finished spirit tastes a little like both types of whiskey. Brisk and astringent, the nose hints at orange peel and tropical fruit. The drying palate opens with cedar and caramelized pineapple, leading to a vanilla fade and lemon peel zing.
