The 2021 Château Beauregard is based on 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc that spent 18 months in wood (45% new). It has a healthy ruby/plum hue as well as ripe black cherry and mulberry fruit that gives way to more spice, damp earth, and subtle chocolate-like aromas and flavors. It’s nicely balanced and has a supple, layered mouthfeel and ripe tannins, all making for a delicious, relatively forward, outstanding Pomerol to drink over the coming 10-12 years.
