Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Tasted at Bordeaux Index’s annual 10-Year On tasting in London.The 2006 Château Beychevelle has a more open and more complex bouquet compared to the 2006 Talbot. I appreciate the clarity and detail here with briary, cedar and touches of forest floor, suggesting that it has both feet planted on its drinking plateau. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm grip in the mouth. This is clean and fresh with a fine line of acidity: brambly red fruit, white pepper, cloves and a touch of fennel on the finish. This surpasses previous bottles that I have tasted. Tasted January 2016.
There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Great depth on the palate and an array of flavours which sweep through coffee, bitter chocolate, cassis and black stones, with a sense of minerality and lift that’s slightly marred by a touch of bitter tannin on the finish. I imagine that full phenolic ripeness was a few days away. But good classic Médoc nonetheless, with potential to further surprise us. Drinking Window 2016 - 2028.

A blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2006 Beychevelle is medium to deep garnet-brick in color. It rocks up with ready-to-drink, mature note of prunes, fruitcake, and tobacco leaf, plus suggestions of dried sage, leather, and cast-iron pan. Medium-bodied, the palate has a sturdy structure of chewy tannins and just enough freshness to support the mineral-laced, muscular black fruit and earthy flavors, finishing on a stewed tea note.
