Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

It’s a beautiful Pomerol that clearly ranks with the greats from this address, offering a vivid purple hue, classic notes of cassis, leather, graphite, and black cherries, full-bodied richness, and a layered, seamless mouthfeel. It’s another remarkable 2022 that brings the richness and depth of the vintage while staying light on its feel and flawlessly balanced. It has plenty of upfront appeal even today, yet there’s ample structure here as well, and it’s going to evolve beautifully over the coming 30 years or more.
There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Richly aromatic, quite heady notes on the nose of blackcurrants, violets and dark chocolate. Silky smooth and really juicy on the palate, fun and fresh. I love the purity to the red berries with both a subtle creaminess as well as razor sharp edges of graphite and liquorice minerality that give a tang and buzz to the palate. The energy here is lovely, really alive and focused with a clean sensation on the finish. Well delivered with character and lots of charm. Lovely.

This is typically dark and brooding, as we night expect from Clinet, with perfumed black summer fruits, liquorice and blackberry laced with coffee bean, rose petal, tar and crushed chalk. The palate shows the rich and broad texture that seems to typify the vintage, combined with the dark intensity of the Clinet fruit, all supported by a rich bed of ripe, polished and finely powdered tannins. This hangs together very well, in a broad, bold, and lightly peppered style. This is a very impressive Pomerol which seems well set up for the cellar. Give it a decade and probably a little longer than that before pulling the cork.

The 2022 Clinet has a lighter nose than its peers, with red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, crushed stone and touches of black truffles. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, gentle grip, a little edgy though, overall a classic example of "less is more". Wonderful sapidity on the finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

While it remains nicely balanced, it will require a bit of patience for its élevage to integrate.
