Blended of 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc, the 2016 Croix Cardinale aged on the fine lees for 13 months in 100% new French oak barrels from seven coopers. It has a deep garnet-purple color and is scented of baked plum, blackberry pie and chocolate box with wafts of licorice and black tea. The palate is medium to full-bodied, vibrant and elegant with lovely ripe, rounded tannins and lovely freshness on the finish. About 1,333 cases produced
