The 2014 Camensac has a fragrant, more floral bouquet than its peers: crushed strawberry intermingling with raspberry and light pencil lead aromas, though not as intense. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin. I like the acidity here, fresh and vibrant with a nicely proportioned, classically styled, tobacco-tinged finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
