This is still quite youthful with its fresh and bright spicy plum liqueur-like aromas that are liberally laced with earth, exotic tea and dried floral scents. There is a lush, even opulent mid-palate mouthfeel to the dense big-bodied flavors that possess excellent size, weight and power yet the palate impression is relatively fine, partially because the dry extract enrobes the tannins and thus partially disguises their presence on the ever-so-mildly lean finale. This is still on the way up though as the description suggests, it’s not so compact or tightly wound that it couldn’t be enjoyed now.
