Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The 2022 Château La Dominique might be the finest I’ve tasted from this estate. Located in the northern part of Saint-Emilion, not far from Cheval Blanc as well as the Pomerol border, with plenty of clay in the soils, it’s based on 88% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, raised in 50% new barrels. Gorgeous darker currant and black cherry fruit, chocolate, leafy herbs, and a Pomerol-like damp earth character all define the aromatics, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has incredible purity, silky tannins, and a great finish. It’s a gorgeously textured, seamless, balanced Saint-Emilion that already offers pleasure yet has a solid two decades of prime drinking ahead of it. Bravo.
There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Here, in the home of the world's finest wines, the type and quality of grapes used is of utmost importance, and the legendary wineries which work on the banks of the Gironde river have mastered the careful art of juice blending to find the perfect balance for their produce. Whilst there are six 'official' Bordeaux grapes, the two key varietals for almost every fine Bordeaux wine are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and with good reason. The 2022 La Dominique is gorgeous, elegant and gracious. Dark red/purplish fruit, mocha, lavender, spice and new leather abound. A wine of exquisite finesse, La Dominique is positively stellar in 2022. All the elements are so well balanced. I especially admire the wine's energy and class.

Ripe and concentrated aromatics, lively and open. Detailed and finessed on the palate - still quite tense and serious, the fine but grippy tannins take hold and drive the wine forward with a cool undercurrent of blueberries and cola. Oak spice comes alongside a bite of minerality with clove, salty stones, dark chocolate and powdery liquorice accents. Feels sculpted with power but delivered really elegantly - svelte and streamlined, this has yet to soften and expand, but there's all the hallmarks of a generous, juicy, concentrated wine with plenty of life ahead.

Lead pencil, blackberry, thyme and violet aromas follow through to a full body with lots of tannins and a juicy finish. This needs some time to soften. A tannic and structured wine that will come together with time in the bottle. Best after 2029.

A surprisingly restrained nose to the first bottle tasted, this was much more expressive second time around, with desiccated summer berry, red cherry and dried cranberry, with smoke, perfumed chalk, rose petals, sandalwood and mint, a rather scented and harmonious whole. The palate has a sense of elegance and linearity to it, with dried summer berry fruits presented in a bed of liquorice, rose petals and tobacco, wrapped in elegant tannins, which then yield to a finish of finely focused tannic grip. This is impressive, with an elegant and finely poised structure;it seems to transcend the core variety and focus more on the terroir, which is admirable. All in all a wine of delicious potential. Tasted twice.

Youthfully plump and juicy in feel, with a ball of cherry and blackberry compote wrapped in black licorice and carried by a tug of warm earth on the finish, showing a nice savory hint throughout. Understated overall, with sneaky length and focus on the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2026 through 2038.
