By the 2012 vintage, much of the replanted Cabernet Franc (mainly planted in 2003, and this time in the right spot in the vineyard) was coming back into the blend, and you can feel the added depth in the wine compared to the previous few years. This also has more evident gourmet fruit than the 2011, with rich raspberry and blueberry fruits joined by a beautiful freshness through the finish. A classic, hedonistic yet well balanced St-Emilion.
